Historically we always have, so I don't see this being any different. With it being an election and all, it makes sense. It should be fine then.

I'm not sure if we allowed it before (my memory is hazy on that, lol). But I'd really support you being allowed to vote. Everyone else does and this is determining whether you will even be a staff member for next term at all. Based on this being only a temporary position it makes sense in your case.
