Which girls' years would you like best?
« on: August 25, 2007, 09:54:43 PM »
If you don't get what I'm asking look below:
The girls on FHJ were all different ages. So what I'm asking is would you rather be on FH when you were 10-18 years old (Candace's years), 5-13 years old (Jodie's years), or 9 months-8.5 years old (MK & A's years.)
For me, I would pick 10-18, because when you are around 10 you get more into it then if you were younger.

I'd like to be 5-13... MK&A were much to young in my opinion, so they won't have all that many memories.  CC was a bit old near the end, so it would've gotten boring for me

Definitely not the ages the Olsens were.  I'd like to have at least started out knowing I was on a show.  ;)  Jodie's time period on the show sounds like it messed her up a bit afterward being so used to it for a good part of her life, but I don't think that same issue would go for everyone.  Candace's were probably pretty interesting as well, although she was probably ready to break away by the last couple years I'd imagine.

So I'll probably have to go with 5-13, just because you get a little bit of both aspects of the show on different parts of the series, and that for the most part it was probably a fun experience during that time.

I voted Jodie's years. MK/A's years would be little bit vague...epsecially during the really eraly years of FH. As for Candace, it would get kinda old for her age after a while.

I voted Jodies years. Kids as young as MK & A were in the early seasons of FH wouldn't have enough memories of being on the show.   Beings Candace's ages on the show would involve juggling too much schoolwork around the acting.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Candace was a year older than DJ was supposed to be on the show, making Candace's ages while on FH 11-19.

Yeah, I'd prefer Jodie's years. Mary-Kate and Ashley were way too young to even speak in the first few seasons.  :P Candace's years were pretty good, I guess, but she was kind of old in the end. I probably would enjoy it more as a kid/preteen.

I picked Candace because when you are 10-11 years old then you understand about a role in a hit TV show more than someone who was 5. Although Jodie's years were really good, too.

I guess by the time the show was over she would be wanting to branch into a different part of her life as well.

Seemed to be Candace and Jodie seemed to enjoy their parts the most in seasons 1 and 6 respectively, and they were also about the same age during those years.  Or at least that's the way I saw it.

Definetly Jodie's.  When you're so young, it's not actually your decision to be on the show.  At Candace's age, I would probably get bored near the end and want to move on.

Jodie's just because the progress you make and the interesting things that happen then would make me a good character.

Well, Candace's last year of high school would have been season 7. Which means that in season 8 she would have been starting post-secondary if she wern't on the show. Full time university isn't compatible with a major part on a tv show.

Yeah, that's kind of the point.  Now this thread initially was talking about how old the characters were during this time.  Not a huge difference but when one of the actress is an extra year older it can change things a bit, especially considering where they were when the show ended.  It was evident that even the character of DJ would have struggled to be on because of college if FH had gone the extra year.

I voted for Jodie's age because it seemed like it would be easier to balance things such as school at that age than Candace's age. Michelle's age is too young for me because some of it you wouldn't remember when you grew up.

Jodie's age cause she was old enough to know what was going on but still young enough to enjoy it. Mka were too young to remember the show and Candace went through puberty on the show so the public audience noticed every change she went through during her teen years.

Yeah, like most people I would have to go with Jodie's for the same reasons.  OR I might go with Candace's, but like AJ said she might get bored, and plus she was like getting bashed in school or something.
