Actually come to think of it, I seem to adjust to the earlier characters only over time with a lot of shows. I dont' really know why that is. I guess with FH you at least can kind of pinpoint why judging the wya you are from the ages and style it had at those respective times. The change in the character traits that have been mentioned were a big part in the change of direciton, the plotlines becoming more mature with the girls aside.
