This is my new version of the one that was washed away.  I basically made a thread to talk about card games.  Too many kinds to actually go into specifics and make a poll, but they're quite enjoyable nonetheless.  My person favorite is blackjack (or 21, if you like to call it that).

I love blackjack. About any poker, really. Got addicted to learning how to play in Florida in 2004, I think. Besides blackjack though, it would be Texas Hold 'Em.

Then for kiddy card games, UNO!

Oh yeah, I always loved UNO.  That's one I forgot about.  I haven't played that in years and yet I still have pretty vivid moments of playing that.

Blackjack I've always liked because of the gambling (even if it's faked) I must admit.  We'd use something like potato chips to play the game.   One time we were out of things so we used newspapers, lol.

Haha. When I got back from Florida we used candy and such, something simple. Then that next Christmas (I went to Florida with a friend for Thanksgiving with her father) my mom and dad bought me poker chips. I also steal the chips from the Texas Hold 'Em supplies too, teehee.

I miss UNO. I was looking for UNO cards one day, but I couldn't find any. I think they were just out, but I've noticed it tends to be a hard thing to find. UNO is a piece of cake for me, can still remember how to play it perfectly, haha.

I remember in grade 7 when a few of the students decided on playing a game of blackjack for the last day.  Noone was really doing anything, so they just set up and decided on doing it for real money, lol.

I think I still might have a deck of the UNO cards in my room somewhere.  Maybe in a drawer I don't really look in too often.

Ahaha, I tried betting money one time, but I only had like five dollars. It was actually quite funny. We did this in Florida, between my friend and her dad. It was hilarious. Then my friend and I betted that if we won he would have to buy us pizza. Yeah, we barely won. Just barely, haha.

My parents never bought me UNO. I don't know why, but it made me so sad, haha. Since about two or three years ago I've been trying to find it, but no luck. Oh wells... I will get it eventually. Mhm.

I usually find when I discover an addicting game elsewhere I'd soon get it myself.  UNO is not as easy as games that can be done with regular playing cards (for convenience purposes anyways), but I think we had gotten it before I actually knew how to play it (maybe as a gift from someone?).

My favorite card game is "Meow".  I learned it at camp a couple years ago and it was so addicting, a bunch of us played it for like 4 hours straight.  With that game nobody can tell the rules, you just have to figure them out as you play.  It's a mix between uno and crazy eights but you can't talk while playing.  Everytime you start a new game the winner from the last game has to think of new rule but of course can't tell anyone cause everyone has to figure it out on their own.  It's really confusing at first but once you catch on it can get quite addicting, especially if there are a lot of people playing ;]

I also like "Spoons" as well.  But only when there are lot's of people.  Oh and "Bull Shit" is fun too.

I don't think I've heard of any of those, SweetMichelle, lol.  The first one sounds interesting, but I guess you need someone who understands it to play because you can't catch on to a game nobody knows.

I've heard of Bull Shit before, about a year ago it was always played at my lunch table, but not the others. As for my card games, I've never been too much into any of them. My parents are into a game called Spite and Malice that they played a lot back when we lived in Chicago; the rules were so complicated I don't remember them at all. My mom also plays a lot of Euchre on the Internet, which I only somewhat know the rules to, and only then because she plays it online so much. I guess Blackjack and Bull Shit would be my favorites, as those are the only two where I know the rules by heart.

Oh, Spite and Malice.  My brother and aunt are obsessed with that game, lol.  I've never bothered to learn, but the two of them play it every she visits.

I just remembered one other that was pretty interesting.  It's called Wizard.  It comes with its own set of cards because there are special ones that influence the game.  I'm not if anyone else has heard of that one before or not.
