"Ensemble Roleplays"

I just thought of an idea for the RP. I think it would be interesting to have people partner in duos or trios and just roleplay a session with those two or three, and then after everyone's done their session, we have a poll for people to vote which RP was the best. Of course, this would be separate from the main RP that everyone participates in. I think it would be so interesting to isolate the chemistry between individual roleplayers. I dunno about you guys though.

I like it, BL.  It could play out like one plot does in an episode where one a few of the characters are involved in what's going on.  I'll leave you to organize it, but you can count me in.

For this to work, we'd have to pick the right roleplayers to be partnered together, based on what characters they play. For instance, we wouldn't want a roleplay that is just Becky and Joey. We'd also have to find a way to work around the low participation of some menbers. So that the person(s) who get put in a group with MT fan don't automatically lose because of his low participation.

Whether we do this or not, I would want the main roleplay to continue uninterupted.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was the plan, with just being another thing going on at the same time.

I suppose activity is a concern, but you could make it so once one wraps up you allow more time for the other to reach a close (within reason).

Well, the group roleplaying could arrange to use any set of characters they wanted for that session. An actual two character session would be interesting though. For all intents and purposes this would be completely disconnected from the mainline RP, though people can use their main RP characters if they want.

I like  the idea, maybe each group could have a theme ie strictly realistic, crazy etc.

I think it's only fair.  I'm not sure if there is anyone waiting in the wings, but they certainly should be welcome to.

Oh hell yeah. And Leftturn, yes that does mean you don't have to be the character you are for RP, in fact you can be as many characters as you want as long as your ensemble agrees.
