It was likely just one of those things where the writers came up with at the time, and they really didn't worry too much about how completely accurate it was as far as time went.  Unless a time is specifically said the intervals for the show are pretty flexible.

Yeah; considering how little continuity was a concern with typical sitcom writers of the era, we're lucky they got the interval of the pregnancy right.

lol continuity is still not a concern for a lot of shows :P, I mean they try but they're more focused on good plots than on making sure they have every character's story straight lol

There are a few shows that are exceptions, but it's amazing how many times you'll see shows lose their consistency with the characters, plots, references, or even something like this.  One of the worst shows I've ever seen in regards to continuity is Step By Step, lol.  They completely wiped out two secondary but regular cast members after the first season, and even eliminated the one kid before the show ended. sm5

Yeah... a big part of the continuity thing, especially before the 90s, was that being able to watch the episodes in any order was considered a very high priority, because syndication at the time often randomly picked episodes (as it still does for shows like The Simpsons today); however, it has become increasingly popular to rerun from first produced to last produced, so continuity has become much more important.

FHF, I just looked up Step by Step; damn were they bad at continuity LOL.

I don't think anyone is too worried about that.  I don't suggest people based simply on impulse though, and Jesse and Becky's did still in the end come with some care as they didn't do things right away like they would have in season 2.

Well Jesse was a bad ass for maybe the first season but shortly after he met Becky then lost his edge...He always had a bad side but he cleaned up and got married in the show pretty fast don't you think?
That is total bullshit cowpoopy right there. I bet your just starting this idiotic, nonsense topic because you're just jealous because you aren't married yet, and/or can't get a boy/girlfriend to save your life.

I actually do agree with that a little, although maybe in a less harsh way.  I don't think edge was the epitome of his character.  It was more of the mask he used earlier on, and it was subsequently removed with his relationship to Becky.  The change in shift of the show had more to do with his career and attitude I found than anything with family now that I think about it.
