Shows you avoid like the plague
« on: November 30, 2007, 03:12:14 AM »
I'm talking about shows that you despise so much that you try to avoid ever flipping the tv onto them, or, if you happen to flip onto them, immediately change the channel. Here's my current ones:

Hanna Montana
The Rick Mercer Report (Canadian show)
Two and a Half Men --Charlie Sheen *shudders*

Anything on the Disney Channel except for The Suite Life which I watch sometimes.  But definetly Hannah Montana.

Any Disney show that's cancled or retarded.
"Some dont believe he ever existed, but that isnt true. He was here, and he was real. The real question is what was he, and why was he here. Many rumors speculate as to what he was. Some believe he was some kind of demon worm creature who would pose as a librarian. Others believed he was an angel sent to spread the word of god. The truth is, I dont know what he was. All I know is what he taught me. Love, friendship, and what it means to truly live. Some call him a monster, something children are terrified by. I only know him by what he called himself. Weird 4." - nicest comment ever!

There's just about nothing I actually can't tolerate (there are certainly shows that border on that though), but I hardly ever watch anything that I'm not interested in, so I'm not sure.

The majority of reality shows I stick clear of, as well as sometimes depending on what it is the news and documentaries if I don't agree with it.  I think you can understand the type that has its obvious biases and shows a level of propaganda almost.  I really dont' watch much TV anymore unless I'm specifically going out of my way to watch something regularly.

I'll probably get shot down in flames for this...but I can't stand "Friends" for some reason.

Everybody in my family likes it except me. They all find it funny, but I don't. Perhaps it's just not my sort of comedy. I prefer the classic British comedies.

It's bad for me because it's on for an hour every day in the UK. So I just potter off and play Xbox or Wii...or homework... :P
Thanks,
Greg W

I've always enjoyed Friends, but I'm not too sure how fond I am of British comedies judging from what I've seen of them, so that could be a reason why.

I like Friends, it's not my favorite show, but I still like it.

I tend not to really avoid any shows, unless you count wrestling programs. I hate those. (RAW and WWE Smackdown or whatever it's called and such). :P

I guess it's hard to intentionally avoid something when you don't watch too much TV.  And the way my satellite is set you just wouldn't go to a channel unless something interesting caught your eye.

There isn't really any show I try to avoid since I don't watch a lot of tv...  But I don't really like teen dramas like One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl.  The OC and a couple '90s dramas are the only ones I watch.  I don't have cable but when I'm at someones house that does I try to avoid the disney chanel unless they're showing they're showing reruns of ES or LM.  I don't really care for reality shows either, game shows are okay though.  Oh and American Dad & Family Guy are just cheesy, but sometimes I can't help but watch them :P

Haha I clicked on this thread because it reminds me of FHF calling me an infectious plague. sm5

Well, I tend to avoid watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 or whatever it was called. I was never interested in it and I don't see how people even wanted to watch the life of other random people. :P Otherwise, I can pretty much tolerate anything on TV.
I love these guys <3

I saw about 30 seconds of it and was bored so did something else, lol.  Not a huge fan of TV shows about a real family.

My list of shows I avoid like the plague no longer includes Hannah Montana. I have been watching this show off and on for the past year.
