HRM and Marchdays 2007 boards
« on: December 08, 2007, 11:35:23 PM »
I actually just did this yesterday and forgot to tell you people, but since we clearly are not going to do another How Rude Monthly, I deleted the board and its contents are now in the Recycle Bin. This is the same with the Marchdays 2007 boards; the Marchdays 2008 board will be set up in a few months. MD08 is probably going to be less of a competition and more of a celebration than MD07 (which probably means no teams); MD07's competition aspect really didn't succeed and its reward can no longer be given out.

So is Marchdays just gonna be like a bunch of chats? Or is it just gonna be one day?

I'm thinking it might be a weekend rather than a week. A week was just too full blown.

I'd be fine with that as long it follows a three night chat weekend idea.  And of couse if anyone does have ideas that are intriguing we'd certainly be interested in hearing what it is.  We have a lot of time to completely rough how it will end up until then.

Yeah, there would definitely be three chats for each day of the weekend. I'm wondering if we could still run some competitions, although on a limited scale and only have two teams.

Like what would the competitions be, same as last year pretty much?  I don't remember if we had a FH trivia thing but I probably know like barely anything now :P

I'm thinking the main event would be the two teams doing an FH roleplay... for the others we'd probably take suggestions come the preseason (which should be moved to mid February probably, Feb 1 was too long a time).

Perhaps you should include the Episode Guide Project again with the two teams competing, for that was relatively successful last time.

It seems I missed this thread when it was active. I did notice that the Marchdays 2007 boards were gone, though I hadn't noticed about the HR Monthly board.

Obviously we didn't do any kind of a Marchdays. I though about it back at the beginning of March, but figured no one else would be into it.

LOL I got confused again when you posted lol.  I would of been up for it but it wouldn't seem like it'd be anymore active than the monthly chats :P

I also figured that of the members who are active enough to make a decent contribution to a Marchdays, only myself and fhf would want to do anything Full House related.

I'm sure Mikayli would be into it as well, though in general I think it was stressed that Marchdays is just as much about forum community than anything, so a heavy favoring to FH would not be necessary.  But at the same time, BL was the one who was always the type for organizing stuff like this, and his mind had been elsewhere by the time Marchdays came around.

Hey, if you really wanted to do something I'd have been up for it, lol.  I'm just not much for planning anything elaborate.  If someone else does it I can get into it, but otherwise it's more just a matter of me deciding whether or not I like ideas. :)
