Which episode exhibits Jodie Sweetin's talents the best?
« on: December 26, 2007, 05:39:28 AM »
Honey, I Broke the House is my pick, without any contest. The whole scene with Jodie driving the car into the Kitchen, and then the aftermath, is one of the top scenes in the entire series.

Runner up is A Pox In Our House. Jodie is priceless with the high voice when she pretends to be Karen.

[Edited to add]

Other possibilities are Gotta Dance, given the prominence of Jodie's dancing talents in that episode, and I'm Not DJ.

I'm definitely going with Honey I Broke The House.  You just see so many different sides of her character in that episode and she does it so well.  I would also include I'm Not DJ like you mentioned because she was so hilarious in season 6 and that was one of her biggest roles as well.  Silence Is Not Golden is another one to mention consideirng the emotional level it has, although her role isn't quite as large as the other two.

FHF, don't you think A Pox In Our House ranks up there, with Jodie doing the high voice?

I think all of those mentioned are exceptional episodes, however for exhibiting Jodie's talent best it would have to be Gotta Dance.

I would definitely say Honey I Broke the House or Silence is not Golden.  The episode that showed her dance talents the best would be Gotta Dance.  i loved that dance so much that I learned the whole thing by watching my DVD over and over and over again.  But now I forgot it. :(

Yeah, it's what I would say is her best performance she did early on.  Given her age, it's all the more impressive, lol.  I owuld put it after the two I mentioned, but it would have to be one to consider and certainly a valid choice.

I still haven't seen Gotta Dance (although I mentioned once I saw the final 30 seconds just before the credits came on) so I can't fully comment.  Given the storyline, I don't think there would be an episode that would show her dancing abilities as well in any other episode.

The Telethon episode had her dancing in it.  I'm still going with Gotta Dance though because it looked like the dance was harder.  Though it would be hard to dance in front of a lot of people that go on TV.

A Pox In Our House was hilarious when she was acting as Karen hah.

Yeah, she danced on a few different occasions.  I just don't think any of the ones I've seen at least had enough of her acting abilities on it as well.

I think one other one I would actually mention though is Middle Age Crazy.  She did a ton of work in that one including showing off her hula-hooping.

Yeah, I forgot about Our Very First Telethon, that would be pretty high on my list.

I haven't seen Our Very First Telethon either. sm4  I'm not sure hwo much acting she did in that one either.  While I think her dancing did show a good talent of hers, I do also think her acting thrived in certain environments the show put her into, whereas often with some of the others they needed to be in pretty unique storylines to show off what they could do.

In Our Very First Telethon she really only had the spotlight with her routine to Love Shack otherwise she didn't have a big role.

I don't think Stephanie's routine to Love Shack showcases enough of Jodies' talents for it to make a list of episodes that exhibit Jodie Sweetin's talents the best.

Yeah, I really think it should only get consideration if this thread about Jodie's dancing, in which case Gotta Dance would probably be the winner (honorable mention to Lust In The Dust).

It would be like in the thread about John Stamos picking where his only part is about him basically performing a song.  We generally decided that Captain Video was the top choice, which showed his music performing but also acting versatility.

That 1964 Rambler (cool car, by the way) and the telethon episode where Jodie dances to Love Shack.  She was such a talent!

Oh, and Candace singing that execrable shopping cart song would turn the stomach of even the strongest person.  That was such a stinker.

Haha, I still haven't seen that episode believe it or not.  I've seen a wide variety of clips that I am aware of the highlights that have been mentioned though.  What's the 1964 Rambler thing you're referring to, lol?  I'm being dense. ;D
