I think it's safe to say both will eventually fry your brain. I'm glad Jodie's brain is still intact.

Yeah, you never want to hear about anyone destroying themselves through drugs.  And it's happened on many occasions with celebrities really.

Sort of reminds me of Stevie Ray Vaughan. He once said he got into doing cocaine cause he was trying to keep up with all he had to do as a recording and touring musician energy wise. Turned into a habit of course and then an addiction. I would imagine that the pressures of fame would do that to someone.

"I was in a casino, I was standing by the door, and a security guard came over and said 'You're gonna have to move. You're blocking the fire exit.' As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit. Unless you are a table."

Ironically, the motivation Jodie gave for her meth addiction was too much time on her hands and boredom with life.  That's what she's said numerous I think at least.  So it goes both ways.

That's true. I say that boredom is one of people's worst enemies. Keeping busy is the way Tim Armstrong (of Rancid) keeps sober. He keeps so busy that he doesn't have time to drink himself stupid. Good thing too as he's another good talent.

I don't know, do you think it's possible for people who just have their creative juices successfully flow into a solid career to just be more susceptible to that kind of thing?  I mean, a celebrity could easily avoid the issue if they were so determined (and some have), so it's never so simple.

Of course. Addiction has many things that make it complex. Creatively speaking you can be straight edge too. Some do it to GET the creative juices flowing.

Artist: "Hmm what kind of song would I write if I did acid and speedballs at the same time?'

*dies 30 minutes later.

Artist: Now, what kind of song...crap, I'm dead? I guess I'll never find out now.

Lol, well I guess that's true especially with musicians.  I'd imagine an actor for example would be more associated with just media pressure and being in the spotlight.  Drugs are interdependent usually on their creative output, except perhaps in handling heavier schedules.

I don't think I would say Bob Saget is "unlikeable" just because of his dirty humor, lol. He's actually easy to get along with. My uncle is pretty decent friends with the guy and usually meet up whenever Bob is in the Washington, DC area.

My pick would have to be Mary-kate Olsen.

Hmm, you have a connection to Bob Saget.  That's pretty interesting, lol.  In general though people have to go on their public impression of a celebrity unless they know more.

I've never met him, lol. But my uncle has hung out with him on a few occasions through another actor, Johnathan Silverman. I keep telling my uncle to let me meet him next time he's in town! lol, I'd love to.

Well yeah, but I guess you would know more about him than the average person because you have that connection even if you haven't met.  That's how you were able to tell us more about his personality. :)  The closest current celebrity connection I have is my mom's cousin being an animator/director for a TV show.  My parents have in the past had like two or three degrees relation to celebrities in friendship.
