Left Handed: Mary-Kate
Right Handed: Ashley
Freckle under the nose: Ashley
Shaking Dance: Mary-Kate
Closer and bigger eyes: Ashley

Now that we can tell them apart, I'll ask the question, which Olsen Twin do you prefer on Full House?

Me, I havn't decided yet. Maybe I'll make up my mind once I see what other have to say.

Even when I see those little video things, I still don't see much difference when they were that age.  I think I prefer it that way too, more like they're one person, one Michelle.  However I do remember, especially in season 4 at one point, that I think that Mary-Kate did a better job as Michelle.  And Mary-Kate also did most of season one too, I think, because Ashley used to cry a lot as a baby.

i was not able to tell them apart before the age of 13 or something. when they were speaking together for some reason or another at a young age you could tell they have differences in their voices thought.

Well with the left and right-handedness and the dance you can really only tell specifically when a scene calls for that type of thing.  The eyes thing helped a little at times, but only in the context of the video.  On the show I would still have a difficult time, unless maybe they were in one of those moments when they were together.  Though the video was useful, I don't think I could make a real decision on which I prefer because I don't recall which was which other than ones shown on here.

I guess it's a two part question you might be asking.  Are you looking for which Michelle do we like better when one is in that role, or which one do we think plays the role of Michelle better?

I'm aksing which Olsen Twin you like better when one is in that role. If how well each of them played the role of Michelle factors into it for you, then you could consider it part of the question. You could also base your answer on whether you prefer Mary-Kate or Ashley's mannerisms, or even which one you think looks better (if you want to be that vain).

Well maybe a little, but only in the same sense about what I said with the eyes.

As far the question I'm still not sure.  The only attribute that really was shown with differences here was the dance thing, and I'm just kind of indifferent on that.  Maybe with what I know in mind I'll see what I think the next time I watch it though.

The video didn't mention it, but I think Michelle's gasping thing that she did on a few occasions was only done by Ashley. I'm not entirely sure, but that's what I think.

Oh, so when she opened her mouth widely like in the kitchen scene of Honey I Broke the House?  It is interesting how each twin had little novelties like that.

I think one might have slightly curlier hair than the other or something as well lol....at any rate, I can sometimes tell them apart and sometimes not, and they're both pretty much equally good actors on full house considering they basically did the exact same things.....I mean even if each twin had novelties, I don't think either was actually better or worse, they were both just regular kids playing yet another regular kid so it didn't really take all that much skill anyway

That's one of the times when Ashley did it. Other times I know she did it were in The Hole-In-The-Wall-Gang, when DJ and Stephanie put the hole in the wall, and in Play It Again Jess, when Stephanie shrinks DJ's sweater. There may have been other instances as well, though I'm not sure.

For some reason I'm thinking of the episode where she's like Jesse and Joey's little secretary in the basement, but I can't place the actual moment.  She was pretty young back then so maybe not, but for some reason I had that in my head.

But in a way I do tend to agree with csoup that even though each had some differences for the most part it's pretty much the same character.  If it was noticably different in regards to how Michelle acted I guess we would have taken note of a two-faced Michelle already.  The quirks each of them had don't really make a huge deal to me.

I think Mary-Kate used her eyebrows more in the later season. You'll notice it sometimes when she raises them. Watch the scene in "The Play's The Thing" where Stephanie and Michelle are in their jammies practicing the Yankee Doodle thing and Michelle is asking Stephanie about Yankee Doodle's hat.
