black eyed peas
« on: July 26, 2008, 05:10:20 AM »
i didn't think i should bump the older topics.. so i just made a new one. well, a new albums coming out called "the energy never dies", which should be released in November, and their going to perform a new single on "fashion rocks" in early September. Fergies still with them, and they'll probably start touring in early 2009. so you should start seeing them on tv/in magazines around September. i'm really excited for it.. but i know not many people here are :P i just thought i'd tell you all anyways.

In the future you can bump up the entertainment threads if you want. :)  I still don't think they're my type at all, lol, but a new single is always something cool to be excited about.  I'm looking forward to a new album.

Hmm, well he's alright but that's certainly a unique combination.  Sometimes different collaborations work, like the Beach Boys and the Fat Boys, lol.

Well BEP does r&b, rap, and hip hop. I dont know what kinda music he did, but it seems to be a remake and a rerecording.

James Brown did a lot of soul and funk stuff.  If you know songs like "I Feel Good" that's the kind of stuff he did.

Oh, okay well I guess that's why they're using some of James Brown's stuff then, lol.  I find it interesting when bands/artists who collaborate sometimes do a style that neither of them had ever really done before. sm5

I could see either being a possibility.  The other idea is that it actually includes bits of his real material mixed in with their additions.  You'd probably know better than I do.

I looked it up and he actually came into the studio to do it with them.. which seems pretty cool. Especially since his death in 2006.

Lol I actually forgot that he died, which would have made a more recent studio session make no sense if he was there. sm5  But that's cool anyways.  Do you know when the sessions were?

k well this isnt TOO new
but keith (beps drummer) and bobby (manager) released a video on youtube.. and towards the end you can hear the new single. it sounds kinda rock rapish but most of the album will be electrohiphop (its going to be similar to elephunk)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl_ZrGBw71E

their still keeping everything a secret but the albums gonna come out either before 2009 or right after.
