"Some dont believe he ever existed, but that isnt true. He was here, and he was real. The real question is what was he, and why was he here. Many rumors speculate as to what he was. Some believe he was some kind of demon worm creature who would pose as a librarian. Others believed he was an angel sent to spread the word of god. The truth is, I dont know what he was. All I know is what he taught me. Love, friendship, and what it means to truly live. Some call him a monster, something children are terrified by. I only know him by what he called himself. Weird 4." - nicest comment ever!

1. Homeroom/Discover
2. Language Arts
3. Science
4. Lunch
5. Honors Art/FACS/Music/Tech Ed (we switch every 9 weeks)
6. Spanish/P.E. (we switch after this semester)
7. Social Studies
8. Honors Algebra I

Our day is from 8:27-3:18.  Yeah I know, weird times.  Then I have Cross Country from 3:30-4:30.  I'm also gonna join art club which is on Tuesday morning starting at 7:30.  I might join yearbook just to give me something to do.  And then of course I do Track in the spring.

btw I'm in 8th grade and we started on August 20th.

FACS- Family and Consumer Science... all that cooking and sewing crap :P  Cooking sounds fun.  Last year the 8th graders made cinnamon bread and it smelled REALLY good.

And there's a 7th grader in my Honors Algebra class, lol he's really cute (as in he looks like a 3rd grader and he has the most innocent voice haha)

My schedule:
1 (first half) - Comp. Applications (aka speech, you have to take it in order to graduate)
1 (second half) - Interior Design
2 - English 4 (year round)
3 (first half) - Lunch 12
3 (second half) - Economics
4 - Algebra 2 (year round, worst subject, this is gonna be a looooooong class) :P %)
5 - Chemistry (also year round)
6 (first half) - US Government (should be better than US History)
6 (second half) - Lunch 12 (apparently all the seniors have to eat lunch together, no mixed grades. STUPID idea)
7 - Spanish 2 (year round)
8 - Art 1 (also year round)
My school is doing a 7 block schedule, where you have your classes every single day. No more every other day classes or A and B days, which I think is a ridiculous idea, considering the size of my school. And a lunch where your only allowed to eat with your own grade?!? How are you supposed to see your friends from different grades? (Meh, I've got their MySpaces so I guess I could hit them up like whenever).

My school works on a six day schedule. I'll explain it in a minute.

Day 1:
H Geometry
English 1
Speech
PE (Days 1, 2 ,3) Health (4,5,6)
LUNCH
Biology
Spanish
Scripture

Thats the order of my schedule on a typical day 1. The six day schedule is a rotating schedule where each day your first period moves to the end of the day. So Day 2 I'd take H Geometry last and everything would move up one period. All my classes are 6 days classes. PE and Health are 3 days each through the year which is really good so I don't have to like wait a whole semester to take Health or PE. So yeah I can't really say everyone monday I have a Day 1 because I don't and this monday I don't it's day 6. So it's really confusing to remember but it's good.

I just found out today that the high school teachers in my area are thinking about going on strike, this is really going to screw up my plans to go to college next year, I hope it doesn't happen because I don't want to have to wait another year to go to college.

For me it will be basically an '09 school year rather than an '08/'09.  I still have to get all the details worked out for that, but I know which program directions I'll be focusing on.  No longer high school for me though.

Does that mean you're not going to be here anymore after high school? *sobs*

ew, that would really suck. I'm hoping they choose not to go on strike. :P
but then again, a gap year is nice to have sometimes.

I'm going into 12th grade (wow, the years have gone by really quickly) and we start Sept 2
my schedule isn't 100% settled yet, but here's what I know i'm taking.

in no particular order:
BC Calc AP
French V AP
OPEC (basically biology AP)
Calc-based Physics (AP)
2 english electives (1 per semester)
Advanced Art Photo (finally!!)

I don't know what english electives I'm taking this year though.

The reason I'm not taking another class is because BC calc takes up two periods second semester, so nothing fits sm4

But yeah, I think I'm in for a tough year... lol
...Quel culot!!

You guys all have like cooler schools that me, I only have boring classes.  I start tomorrow. :(  Here's my schedule:

1: Orchestra
2:Global History II Honors
3: French III
4: Lunch
5:Chemistry Honors
6: Phys Ed
7: English II Honors
8:Pre-Calculus Honors

I have lunch 4th period again, which is really annoying because it's at 9:58 am!  And all my friends are in period 5. :(

Also for Pre-Calc I have my 5th grade teacher's husband. :)

Oh yeah and also I have almost no classes on the same floor and I have to keep running up and down stairs.

Wow I'm glad I didn't go to some of your schools, lol.
Does that mean you're not going to be here anymore after high school? *sobs*
Aww, no I wouldn't just leave.  I might be kind of pre-occupied but that was to be expected.  All of you will be in that position soon enough. :D

Well you can always do what I did and stay another year.  That's only if you're not sure what direction you're headed and you want to expand your options.  But it's also about being mentally ready too.  If you know what you want to do and you're confident you should be pretty set for the next step.
