The future of the roleplay?
« on: July 22, 2008, 08:39:12 PM »
Are we going to try and revive the roleplay, or are we just going to let it die?

I doubt we could bring back the roleplay as it was berfore the site went down. A lot of the roleplay members arn't active on the forums any more.

Any thoughts from any of the other roleplay members?

Oh yeah I was going to make a thread about this.  I think that we should start it up again.

I reccomend another revamp with the loss of some other RPers. We should be able to save it if we do that.
I'm back

Other than weird4, who for all we know just hasn't found his way over here yet, the lineup is pretty much the same as before we had the issue here.  This would be the third time starting this same session so I recommend we just go ahead with a new one.  Until/unless weird4 comes back I'll assume his roles unless anyone of you or someone else on the forums would like to claim them.

What about Csoup's roles? Csoup has only made one brief appearance on the forums since we've been back online, so I'm not sure we can count on her to be active in the roleplay.

Well csoup has been inconsistent in being here for the roleplay for quite a while.  It's not really a new development.  I think it's fine considering the way she does her particular roles she is able to be secondary in her involvement.  Unless the story was specifically about Becky or Nicky and Alex it doesn't pose a giant issue.

Hey guys I made it. FHF, can I have my little Joey back please?
"Some dont believe he ever existed, but that isnt true. He was here, and he was real. The real question is what was he, and why was he here. Many rumors speculate as to what he was. Some believe he was some kind of demon worm creature who would pose as a librarian. Others believed he was an angel sent to spread the word of god. The truth is, I dont know what he was. All I know is what he taught me. Love, friendship, and what it means to truly live. Some call him a monster, something children are terrified by. I only know him by what he called himself. Weird 4." - nicest comment ever!

Maybe you should recast everyone so that people that aren't involved can get involved.

Pip, I'd be in favour of letting you have Csoup's characters (Becky, Nicky & Alex). Csoup is inactive enough, not just in the roleplay, but also on the forums as a whole, that I see no reason to keep her characters for her.

Welcome back, weird4.  You can continue being Joey any time you wish.  PiP, rather than starting everyone over, you're welcome to take any inactive characters, or any multiple charcters that people already have.

Upon looking at the Roleplay Character thread, that gives you a choice of one of the multiple options played by one of myself, Leftturn, Csoup, and MT Fan.  I agree that csoup hasn't been on the roleplay very much, but instead of stripping her of everything it's reasonable that anyone who wishes to participate can take one of two from the above, including her.  We can still hold on to one so with that in mind I'll keep Stephanie (and I'll continue to be Jesse until/if someone claims it).

That leaves with one of Kimmy, Nicky and Alex, Other Characters, and Jesse assuming everyone stays with who I think they will.  So if you ever feel you want to join, feel free to say so and the opportunity is there for you. :)

Also, MT Fan is away for three weeks.  I'll be Danny unless anyone here is willing to take him (basically he's temporarily free for whomever wants him because MT Fan is unavailable).

Sorry to bump this but I wasn't saying for me since I'm not consistent with my activity but in general it will revamp who is active and not for characters.

Well that depends on what the active roleplayers think I guess.  If anyone feels they are bored with their character and would like to switch up say so here and you can arrange taht with someone.

Okay, so people are (justifiably) concerned about the future of the roleplay.  I think we can open the discussion for that here now.  Obviously we would need some roleplayers to be more active but that's not simple.  Other options would be giving more characters to who is around, but I'm not sure how keen people are on it.  I'll leave it up to whoever wants to discuss this.

The only roleplayers still actively participating are myself, fullhouseforever, and weird4. Mikayli and MT Fan have not been active in the roleplay since December 23rd (and MT Fan has not been active at all on the forums in over a month).

I don't propose that we get rid of the roleplay yet. I propose that we give Danny to me (Given MT Fan's inactivity on the forums as a whole, and not just the roleplay, I have no problem booting him from the roleplay), and that fhf pms Mikayli to see if she still wants to play Michelle. If Mikayli still wants to play Michelle, we let her stay on as Michelle for now, and if not we can give Michelle to weird4. I'd also give Michelle to weird4 if Mikayli doesn't respond in a week, with the provisio that she can have Michelle back if she says she wants to be active in the roleplay again (unlike MT Fan, I don't think Mikayli has completely dissapeared from the forums).

That's fair enough I guess.  I sense MT Fan will appear at some point, but him being active enough to meet the activity level of the roleplay is less likely.  I'll send the PM to Mikayli and weird4 (if he wants) can take her position in the meantime.

I guess we can go ahead with the next roleplay and go with that idea.  If anyone has any other concerns/comments/questions, please feel free to express them here.
