If Full House were a current show
« on: July 05, 2009, 10:34:09 PM »
If Full House were a current show, what would be different about it?

1. There's a good chance it would air on the Disney Channel.

2. Different actors

3. There's a good chance that every episode would focus the on Jesse's singing career, with the intent of turning the actor who would play him into a major music star.

4. Alternately, they might cast an actress for DJ who could be turned into a major pop star.

5. Updates sets, clothing and music.

6. Most likely less reliance on catch-phrases.

7. Unlikely to find another set of twins who could pull off Michelle the way the Olsens did.

8. Less focus on Michelle's character. Heck, they might even get rid of Michelle's character.

9. Joey's character would be less corny, and not a kiddult.

10. Way less likely to go 8 seasons before being cancelled.

11.  There'd be sex on the show between Jesse and Becky. Maybe DJ and Steve.

12. The music that Jesse played or DJ listened to would be along the lines of current mainstream music rather than 80's songs.

13. They would have a lot less corny endings/special messages at the end of each show. (And you can minus the sappy music they play too).

14. In DJ Tanner's Day Off, DJ would probably have gone to a Kelly Clarkson signing or someone modern rather than Stacey Q. D:

15.  Zero emphasis on the kid plotlines involving a young Stephanie or Michelle.  If younger characters are involved, they pertain to an older star character or act older than they are.

16.  They probably wouldn't use the premise in the first place.

17.  They'd quickly try to find Danny a woman.

18. The classic aura around 80's and 90's shows is not there.

I'm not convinced about this one. Hannah Montana has gone three seasons without them trying to find a woman for Robbie Stewart.

I imagine that's because they're trying to emphasize the Billy Ray/Miley Cyrus relationship because of their actual ties in real life.  In the Full House dynamic, I don't see that as much.  I'm picturing something like Vicky happening earlier and not being so dramatically ended all of the sudden.
