Awfully specific, but...

I'm a sucker for looking back at the statistics we have since moving to SMF.  One peculiar detail I notice was how often we seem to have had streaks of people joining.  There are some obvious reasons, but I still think it's quite interesting.  Look at this month for example.  Two non-consecutive are the only ones where new members have joined.  Yet, each of those had two members join on the same day.  This phenomenon happens a number of other times.  Given the infrequency in which we have new accounts, I find it quite amusing to see unrelated people joining on the same day as often as it's happen.

Kind of random I guess, but I thought I'd share this with you all and at least let it out.

What stands out for me is that there have been almost no new members since we lost the fansites.org hosting back in May 2008. The only exception is the five new members who joined this past July and August, who were all old members who came back as a result of the reunion mass e-mail and who created new accounts.

It doesn't seem to be a very easy place to find actually.  I mean, if I hadn't posted the link at the old place and hadn't made the transition I'd be lost in trying to find the place.  I'd probably have to get it from someone on MSN.  So that's one thing.  People won't be joining a forum they don't know exists.
