I guess that would show how good of an actress she is if were she were able to pull it off.  Unless you were meaning she didn't look the part, lol.

The unknowns idea is interesting though.  Often times I find that if you got that route it's much more successful because you really get into the characters rather than the star power.

A random interesting thought that popped into my head yesterday- if the movie would take place in one of the first few seasons, Michelle would be little so maybe Jodie Sweetin's daughter could play Michelle. :)  Just a random thought, I think that would be kind of cool.

Haha, yeah she's getting around (or maybe is already at) an age where MK&A Olsen were playing on FH.  Of course, there's still all that custody stuff.

I have a feeling that if they go ahead and do this FH remake idea, it will be a flop. I doubt they would keep it similar enough to the FH tv show to appeal to a lot of fans of FH. I think there's a good chance the sets would be completely different and that it would be set in the present rather than during the time of its original run. It would have more appeal if they set it in the late 80s, made the house look the same, and had the characters wear old clothes from the late 80s. That might work for me with actors able to look and feel enough like the original cast and characters.

The other problem they have with the cast is getting the ages right. For instance, it won't work if they have a 1 year old Michelle with an 11 year old Stephanie and a 17 year old DJ, because the age difference isn't right. I figure they would mess this up a bit.

A FH movie with the original actors would probably also be a flop. At this point it would simply be too difficult to get a good balance between keeping the movie similar enough to the TV show, and not having all the characters look like their lives have been going nowhere since the end of FH on tv.

It could very well be a flop.  I wouldn't be expecting but I can't but get excited.  However, I think if they really want to go with a quality reimagination of the concept they'd simply have to use a new cast.   I think the most integral thing would be whether or not they can capture an intriguing dynamic between the characters.

Sorry to post again, but I was reading a number of other articles on this subject as well.  I also this article with someone else putting in who they would ideally like to have in the role.  Feel free to comment on those choices if you like.  I knew of all of them except one.

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/06/11/casting-call-we-pick-the-cast-for-john-stamos-full-house-movie/

I actually like the choices for Joey and Danny but I've never heard of the guy they chose for Jesse. As for the kids, I don't really like those choices. Michelle should be played by someone a little older and Miley Cyrus just seems a little too immature to be playing DJ. I think it would be cool if they just got all relatively unknowns and had a few cameos by some of the original cast, that's what they did for the Brady Bunch movie. Either way, I'd love to see some sort of Full House movie. Although it seems more like a TV movie rather than the big-screen.

Yeah, that'd be cute. They could also have Candace Cameron's daughter play DJ 'cause I think she's about the same age as Candace when the show first started.

Hmm yeah I could see it being a TV movie.  I'd be more interested in seeing it with a big screen release but I'm just hoping if they go ahead with this they take some effort into getting it right.
