Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana
« on: July 25, 2009, 04:19:35 AM »
Did anyone else here watch this? The basic premise is that Justin Russo wins a trip on the Teen Hawaii USA cruise in an essay contest, and gets to take Alex and Max with him. The cruise is the same cruise from The Suite Life on Deck. Hannah Montana is also on the cruise because she has a concert in Hawaii. Hillarity ensues.

The other thing is it's an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place, followed by an episode of The Suite Life on Deck, followed by an episode of Hannah Montana. So it has this three part feel to it.

Hmm, I want to make sure I fully understand what this means, lol.  So it's an episode of a different show with Hannah Montana in it, followed by another show with a similar premise, and finally a Hannah Montana.  Can't say I knew anything about it, but it's always interesting how things sometimes work out like that.  I remember seeing three THS on three different occasions (but consecutively given the frequency in which I had seen that program) and they all had seemed to have definite ties to each other.

Ok, here's a bit more detailed synopsis of the whole thing.

The first part is an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place. Justin Russo wins a trip on the Teen Hawaii USA cruise, and gets to take Alex and Max with him. It's the same cruise ship from the Suite Life on Deck. Alex uses magic to bring her friend Harper on board, and they switch identities so Alex can hang out with Zack and Cody instead of attending the marine biology classes her parents signed her up for (at her request). When the cruise ship's front desk manager, who checked in the Russo kids, comes by and calls Alex by her real name, Alex is forced to admit her scheme, and start attending the marine biology classes. Justin Russo Dates London. It gets mentioned over the ship's PA system that Hannah Montana is on board, but she is not seen in this episode.

The second part is an episode of The Suite Life on Deck. Alex Russo accidenlly turns her brother Justin blue from the neck down. The front desk manager thinks Zack did it (based entirely on the fact that this is the kind of prank Zack tends to pull), and banishes him to his cabin. Alex and Zack then concoct a plan to clear Zacks name by proving that Alex turned Justin blue. In the middle of the episde, Hannah Montana shows up on the promenade, is mobbed by many of the teenagers on the boat, and enlists the help of Zack and Cody (who she met in the similarly themed special "That's so Suite Life of Hannah Montana" two years ago) to create a diversion so she can get away from the teens on the cruise who are mobbing her.

The third part is an episode of Hannah Montana. The ship has docked in Hawaii. Hannah Montana loses her ankle bracelet that her mom gave her, and then has a spate of bad luck. She has a terrible rehearsal, and she rips her shirt. She eventually finds the bracelet. However, she drops it overboard, and then her Hannah Montana wig blows off into the ocean. Lola tries to dye Miley's hair the same colour as her Hannah wig, but accidentally dyes it green instead. It looks like Hannah Montana's concert will have to be cancelled, but then Miley gets another Hannah wig from her dad, and her concert goes off successfully. Meanwhile, Zack dates Harper (we see this going on in scenes where Hannah and Lola are on the promenade), and back at the Stewart house, Jackson and Ricco open a package addressed to Robbie Stewart, with disastrous consequences.

I think I have a handle on what's what now.  So I guess you're thinking there was at least some conscious intention to air these episodes on the same night back-to-back-to-back.

On a random side note, I noticed Miley Cyrus was in a movie I saw called "Big Fish", though she went by a different name back then.

Actually this whole scene is Zack not Cody. The front desk manager thinks Zach did it because it is the type of prank Zack would pull. Alex and Zack concoct the plan to clear Zack's name. They don't plan on proving Alex is the culprit but Justin knows she is and he proves her to be the culprit.

But yeah, I saw this and it was pretty good. They could have done it a little better but I still enjoyed it.

Ok, guess I got Cody mixed up with Zack. Will change this in the original post.
