Goosebumps Series
« on: August 29, 2009, 03:44:01 AM »
I read a couple in this series recently.  I probably hadn't done in about 7 years, lol.  I guess it shows how little I care about reading levels but I enjoyed these reasonably enough.  They always seem to have a twist and feel like a Twilight Zone series for kids.  Any thoughts on the goosebumps series?

I only liked the interactive Goosebumps where it'd be like turn to page ect ect. LOL my first time and I failed badly at first but got better.
"Some dont believe he ever existed, but that isnt true. He was here, and he was real. The real question is what was he, and why was he here. Many rumors speculate as to what he was. Some believe he was some kind of demon worm creature who would pose as a librarian. Others believed he was an angel sent to spread the word of god. The truth is, I dont know what he was. All I know is what he taught me. Love, friendship, and what it means to truly live. Some call him a monster, something children are terrified by. I only know him by what he called himself. Weird 4." - nicest comment ever!

Oh yeah I've read a couple of those.  It was a nightmare trying to write a book report about it in grade six though, lol.  I liked the early ones of those at least.  I know it's not huge, but one thing I noticed was how much better the cover art was for the first series or two.  Once it got into the new millenium they tried to make it wackier.
