Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie
« on: August 30, 2009, 06:09:21 AM »
Did anyone else here watch this? It aired on tv last night (at least in Canada, not sure if it aired last night in the US, or at a different time). Right before it they aired four episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place that went together to form a mini story arc called Wizards Vs. Vampires. These four episodes originally aired Monday-Thursday evenings this week (at least in Canada, again not sure about the US).

I won't give away the plot, but I will say that it's a questing movie.

In case you can't tell, I'm obsessed with Wizards of Waverly Place at the moment.

Yes, you are obsessed with it, lol.  I must really not be exposed to things because I wouldn't know it exists if it weren't for people talking about it here.  I'm guessing it was a TV because I've never heard of getting a broad release.  I could be wrong on that though.

Yeah, it was a tv movie, if that wasn't obvious from the opening post.

I can't believe you don't watch Disney and Family Channel shows. The ones I like a lot are:

Hannah Montana
Naturally, Sadie
Wizards of Waverly Place
Zoey 101

Back in January-March of this year I was big on Life With Derek, but since then I've kinda gone off it a bit. Also not as big on Lizzy McGuire as I used to be.

Well sometimes movies go on TV after they have had a big screen release so I wasn't 100% sure.  And why is it so hard to believe that I don't watch it, lol?  I don't even think we have the Disney channel.

All these shows air on the Family channel in Canada (I think the channel is just called Family). Do you get this channel?

Ah I guess we do have the Fmkly channel.  It's not really a channel I ever go to though and that section isn't really a part of the satellite in which I venture very often.  So yeah I haven't really seen much of these shows.

I didn't watch the movie because I don't know it didn't seem to appeal to me but I do watch the television series. The movie did air sometime last month I was thinking more around the 21st... or whatever that Friday was... the Wizards vs Vampires saga was playing through July in the US.

The movie was pretty darn awesome in my opinion haha. I loved the setting and how Alex and Justin actually weren't fighting at some point for once. The ending was pretty nice as well! :)
I also loved how Disney aired Selena's new single right after the movie, which I liked haha.
I love these guys <3

The ending was great. I teared up at the part where Justin dissapeared and Alex said that he was supposed to get the wizard powers, not her.

Haha yeah, I love their brother-sister moments in the movie. My favorite scene was the battle bewteen them for the full wizard powers; it was funny and intense at the same time. D:

lol, yeah I loved how Alex was able to win by repeatedly using the mud spell on the ground in front of Justin, and causing him to slide all over the place.

Justin: Will you stop doing that!
Alex: I'm sorry, I don't know very many spells.

Did you notice that the wizard contest was kinda like Harry Potter, and the scenes with the quest for the purple stone were kinda like parts of Indiana Jones?
