Because of the relatively high amount of members that are seeking a global moderator spot, I will put up a gmod watch for members who want to know what seats may become open in the near future. I have put each of the gmods in three sectors.
Code Green: On daily, has no strikes, no impeachment requests, and no plans to resign
Code Yellow: Meets activity requirement to remain moderator but not on daily, has 1 or 2 strikes, has impeachment request waiting for validation, or has plans to potentially resign
Code Red: Does not meet activity requirement, has 3 strikes or more, an impeachment request is validated, or has officially announced resignation (or in other words, will probably be ejected from his/her spot soon)

From the official gmod document (see original copy in rules thread):

CANDIDACY
If the administrator is looking for a new global moderator candidate, here are the straightforward eligibility requirements:
- Member for at least 3 days as of nomination
- Has at least 100 posts as of nomination
- Has 2 or less strikes as of nomination

ELECTION
At the discretion of the administrator, 4 of the candidates face off in a final mass election. Only two current global moderators have been directly appointed before the election process was added (BL and nchamster) The either top one or two candidate(s) "wins" the election and thus a coveted global moderator spot. Some parts of this section are currently undergoing reform.

SERVICE
Global moderators serve indefinitely until they resign, are impeached, or revoked. For details about these, see below.

RESIGNATION
If a global moderator does not wish to serve any longer or is permanently leaving, he resigns from his spot.

REVOKATION
If a global moderator does not post on the forum for 14 days (or only posts once within 21 days) without an excusable reason or he/she has recieved her third strike, she is automatically revoked from her spot. If it is because of the latter, she is then banned for a day and is ineligible to be a moderator or global moderator until she levels at two strikes.

IMPEACHMENT
The rarest form of leaving office, this occurs when all other global moderators and the admin approve a request to impeach an officer. Requests can only be filed by those that have no strikes and at least 100 posts.
