In almost all of my post-finale fanfics, I feature two characters named Suzanne and Leanne. This is basically who they are:
Remember cousin Steve from Just One of the Guys? I made Suzanne and Leanne his two little sisters. They are not twins, in fact Suzanne is DJ's age and Leanne is Stephanie's age. While the sisters are very close, when they visist the Tanner house, Suzanne always clings to DJ and Leanne always hangs out with Steph. Poor Michelle is all alone.
Their mom, Kelsey, always made 'the big bucks' in the family, probably due to her law degree. Their father, Joshua, was from 'the other side of the tracks,' and was jealous of his wife for making all the money. He would work as a busboy anywhere and everywhere for little to no money.
Because of their mother working constantly and making buckets of cash and their father working constantly and making buckets of nothing, Steve basically had to raise his sisters. Although Steve had been sort of a "geekburger with cheese," Suzanne picked up on cool at an early age and shared it with her sister.
Finally, when the kids were 5, 10, and 16 (when the show started) a fed up Joshua took off. His departure was metioned in Just one of the Guys. Kelsey went into a "working overdrive" and the kids were stuck. Steve kept on taking care of them until he went to Stanford on his baseball scholarship. Then, the girls were moved from Baltimore to NYC because of Kelsey's work.
In the first story I put them in, they were "sassy New York girls" that sang back-up to Kimmy, who turned out to have a really nice voice. She was just kidding around when she sang that horrible lullaby in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Then, the girls crashed at the Tanners' for halloween where Suzanne accidentally turned DJ into a rebel and revealed a lot about her own life. Eventually, after Stephanie and Leanne were haunted by a scary movie, a surprise visit was paid by Steve and Joshua, whom the sisters hadn't seen in almost five years. Unfortunatly, the girls didn't see him after that, considering the girls were again relocated for Kelsey's work; this time to L.A.
The girls always had the "New York Charm." They would spend their days at the coffee shop with friends. Suzanne couldn't go out and party that much because she was taking care of her sister, but she still was really popular. She was a bit of a romantic, probably because she'd always steal Kelsey's romance novels, and Leanne would take after her. Both girls were called "the rebel twins" by the adults in the Tanner house, mainly because they were paranoid that they would rub off on the other kids. The other kids worshipped them, however, and the parents did like them as baby-sitters.
Eventually, during Jese and Becky's tentative separation, Leanne came for a visit, stirring up trouble as always, and was followed by Suzanne with an interesting proposition for Danny:
Suzannne was actually very smart, and got into Stanford, Columbia, and Sarah Lawrence. She chose Stanford, but her financial aid fell through, and due to a minor stock market crash, Kelsey could not "shell out." Suzanne was forced into community college, which angered Kelsey because she had hoped that Suzanne would move out..... and take her sister with her.Suzanne was kicked out, Leanne was fuming, so they asked Danny if they could move into the recording studio-turned-bedroom, and he said they didn't have to pay any rent if they helped out around the house.
Coming up in Season 9: The premiere's title "Broken Mind" refers to Becky and her, eh, strange behavior. Suzanne finds out what the adults really think of her, and the drama rises for ex-couple DJ and Steve.
One reason I love these characters so much is not only do they add spice to Full House, but also because they are loosely based on me and my cousin Leanna, whom I love like a sister. Not only are our named ever so slight variations of the characters, but I'm a bit of a romantic, and Leanna is very cool. We don't cross the line that much, and we live very far away (I live in NY and Leanna lives in TN). However, when we get together (twice a year) we act a little like Suzanne and Leanne, even though we'd probably be Stephanie and Michelle. And, like me, LEANNA LOVES FULL HOUSE!!!!!!!
