At my high school, there isn't a social studies.  History and Geography aren't completely separated.  Ironically, they are on opposite ends of my favorite subjects spectrum.  Geography would go on top, while history would be near the bottom.

I won't vote for social studies because the contrast of what it contains makes it neutral for me.  I'll vote for Geography alone.  My runner-up would be home and careers for sure.

I would vote for social studies hands down, simply because it can pertain to the present like no other subject can, and I have a special talent in it.

I like history and home and career. Though, I'm not going to vote because I don't feel like it, haha. I'm such a lazy bum. History is my absolute favorite though. I'm such a history bum, especially if it's European history. US history bores me, sadly.

I've never had an interest in history, really.  I guess because a lot of the things I've been taught in it are a lot of unnecessary areas.  I think the events and actions are the key to what history is supposed to represent, but a lot of my history classes have focused more on other things of lesser importance.

I can see where that comparison can be made. The US essentially has Europe's history from the 1700s forward, except there are much less countries that come into play, which can really be a bore since the US has not had a major war on its soil in almost 200 years. My favorite part of history is the Americas though. I think it's interesting how countries that were all colonized by Europe could wind up completely different from one another.
