I just read the book and now i want to see the movie. Has anyone ever read the book? I though it was really good. Has anyone seen the movie?

Its about gangs... The plot is its about a boy named Ponyboy and hes about 14 and he lives with his 2 older brothers( his parents died) and they are "greasers" and they get in a lot of fights with Socs and get jumped by Socs a lot. ONe night Ponybody and his friend Johnny were walking and a car full of "Socs" pulled up next to them and got out..and well i don't want to spoil it :]

Wow, I read it several years, and that summary refreshes my memory very nicely. I think I saw the movie too, but I didn't much to it, lol! I think I like the plot more now than I did then.

The movie is from 1983 and it stars C. Thomas Howell( he did a movie with Lori Loughlin), Tom Cruise, Matt Dillion and Patrick Swayze just to name a few

Thats awesome. When i was reading the book a part sounded to familiar i could see it in my head so i think i've seen a little bit of the movie when i was younger
