Hey there is an amendment in the U.S. called Ex post facto- it means someone cannot be punished for something before it was illegal, I know this is not real world situation but I think that rule should be considred here which is baisically what csoup said.

Personally the thing were everyone is saying I robbed a bank in such and such a year is getting quite boring now. it is old news. no one likes old news at least I don't.
