I also liked seasons 7 and 8 because there was more cast members, so there eas a larger variety of problems and issues that the show could talk about.  So it's not like the earlier seasons where they just talk about the 6 main cast members, you know what I'm talking about.

That was probably one of the reasons why I liked the early seasons better in that way, but that's just me, lol.  I like to get involved in a small comaradarie of characters.

I agree, the plots with nicky and alex as well as others were very interesting.

I like the extra cast members that are DJ's boyfriends & Stephanie's friends and dates: Nelson, Viper, Steve, Gia, Micky ect. I love the more mature plots that DJ and Stephanie have with these characters.

I don't really like any of Michelle's friends, except maybe Teddy. I also can't stand Mrs. Carruthers.  Kimmy's boyfriend Duane at the end of Season 8 is also kind of annoying.

In general, I always cling more towards the permanent characters, although there is always an occasional additional character that I might like.  I guess I like to engage myself in the social politics of sitcoms a lot of the time so the ones that remain are to have more of an impact on me.  For the temporary characters, I get more of a "they're alright, but they're not going to be here next season anyways" impression, lol.

So I guess that's why season 7 and 8 didn't give me a needed aspect in that respect.

i really like denise, actually....teddy too, he's just SO CUTE!!!  aaron can sometimes be funny but sometimes you just want to beat him over the head, and actually i really like derrick....i basically like michelle's friends more than i like her HAHA

i love the older girls' friends too, like leftturn said, and nicky and alex are of course AMAZING lol!

Nicky & Alex were okay. They had the occasional good plot, and the occasional annoying plot (like when Jesse pulled them out of preschool). Mostly they were just a distraction because they took time away from Stephanie & DJ.

I think the writers were running out of ideas in season 8 but there are some episodes I enjoy from that season, especially "Under the Influence" and "Steph's Wild Ride."  A lot of the episodes were centered around Michelle however.  It would of been nice in the last episode to have stories for everybody instead of just Michelle but I guess the writers had too short of notice since the show was going to be cancelled.
