Thanks for posting your thoughts on the show, Rios! :)

I think when you're talking about something special that the show has, it's kind of like the aura I often refer to (although to be fair I usually associate that more towards the earlier years of the series).  I guess you're another one of the few people here now who actually caught the show the show in its original run and had the chance to watch it regularly before being cancelled.

I generally can't get into the more recents sitcoms either, although part of that for me is just that 1. I don't consider the quality of sitcoms now to be as interesting and 2. I just prefer the decade of the 90's for shows more in general.

I'm not sure if the age of the show and the fact that it was already over when I discovered it would have made a difference to me.  I seemed to be pretty obsessed with it anyways, and I almost found it more enjoyable looking at it from a more recent perspective.

Good points. Well for example when it first came out I never caught every show and I started watching the re-runs like 5-6 years later on and I either forgot a lot of the shows or I missed a lot because It was like I was re-living it live. I was only like 11 when they shut it down but like I said it was huge in those days anybody and everybody watched it.

If you're removed from the experience for a good amount of time, a lot seems to be forgotten, which I consider a good thing for re-watch value.  Even my general 8 month length of time before an episode airing for me again seems to work pretty well.  Missing it for a few yearsjust emphasizes that even more so.

Sometimes I'll discover new parts of an episode that just never registered for me.  There's forgetting things, and then there's the feeling of something you don't think ever came into your head before.  I notice moments here and there in every episode it seems that I never once thought about before.
