Bridge To Terabithia
« on: February 18, 2007, 02:39:30 AM »
We read this book in school, Bridge to Terabithia.  It was really really well written and I reccommend it.  The movie looks totally different from the book and I hope to round up all my friends in my reading class and go see the movie either tomorrow or Monday.  But read the book, it was really good, but sad in the end.

I read it in the 2nd grade...what memories..
"Some dont believe he ever existed, but that isnt true. He was here, and he was real. The real question is what was he, and why was he here. Many rumors speculate as to what he was. Some believe he was some kind of demon worm creature who would pose as a librarian. Others believed he was an angel sent to spread the word of god. The truth is, I dont know what he was. All I know is what he taught me. Love, friendship, and what it means to truly live. Some call him a monster, something children are terrified by. I only know him by what he called himself. Weird 4." - nicest comment ever!

I'm seeing the movie tomorrow with my sister and friend, the movie is supposed to be sad, though. I've never read the book.

I never read the book, but I might consider seeing the movie since everyone says that it's supposed to be one of the best movies! I just have no one to see it with, lol!  :D

I'm not a book person at all, but now that I have the title in my head, I might be more inclined to check it out some time if I see it.  Fictional (at least I think this book is fictional) literature isn't my comfort zone really though.

I think in the second grade our teacher read it out loud to us. Can't remember exactly. But my friends little Sister is in the fifth grade, and she said they just got through reading it, and they we're going on a field trip to see it, she said it was pretty good. I'm just wondering, is it like the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe? (Or something like that..)

One of my favorite books. I still haven't seen the movie, but in 6th grade we watched the older movie after reading the book.
