I thought the role of the member representative was to represent the will of the members, not to blindly uphold the status quo regardless of what the members want.

On anther note, I really think the election should be open for a week, so more people will have the chance to vote. At enmasse.ca, another forum I'm on that has moderator elections, we have the elections open for a week. I'm sure there are people who frequent these forums regularly, but not regularly enough to be guaranteed to catch a two day election. Also, how about announcing the election dates in advance so people can't unknowingly miss it. We do that at enmasse as well. Even I almost missed it, and I'm running in it, LOL.
