HR Hall of Fame?
« on: March 15, 2007, 11:25:44 PM »
I think we should have a little HR Hall of Fame where "threads of significance to How Rude's history" will be shown (like some gmod stuff, Sue's HR Clique story, the FHF bashing thread once in the Mods section).

Sounds like a cool idea. I think FHF actually had a Hall of Fame also.

Sounds like fun.  It's always nice to hold a symbol of some of the defining moments that helped shape this place into what it has become, or were good examples in the dynamics once upon a time.

hmm but we'd have to move topics from their original boards, which might get confusing if you're looking for something and it's not there. other than that, it sounds good to me  :D

Well... they would probably be far more easily found in the Hall of Fame. My guess would be that there would be 50 threads in there at most.

I'd think most of the threads that would go in there would be older and more difficult to find anyways, and thus would be more easily accessible in the hall of fame.

oh I love the idea.  Add something about the most recent staff flop like with FHF and stuff, that was a big milestone.

Sounds like a great idea to me. Another thing/theme we could put in the HOF are the best spam topics. (Meaning, which topics had one word replies, meaningless/random topics, etc.)

I like it is a great idea to show who the site and the members have come along way.

MT FAN - by being really worthwhile or meaningful or like a stepping stone in the life of HRF or whatever

Weirdo - well, for starters, the ones mentioned previously in the thread  :P

"I like escalators because an escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You'll never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience. We apologize that you can still get up there."

"I was in a casino, I was standing by the door, and a security guard came over and said 'You're gonna have to move. You're blocking the fire exit.' As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit. Unless you are a table."

I might be wrong, but I think he was wondering how the considerable threads would be decided on being put in.  I think it's just a staff decision with member input.

I like the idea of having the major mod threads that have shaped the direction of HR available for viewing by all members.
