Character References

I thought I'd add a little activity to this board, because it hasn't much for a while.

I made this thread as a place to share possible external references about specific FH characters, or even appearances (the latter probably only happened once or twice).

For example, Step By Stepmade references to members of the FH family a couple of times that I saw in the past.  I believe there was mention of both Jesse and Michelle in difference instances.

So basically just any comments or insinuations about any of the characters (also cast members in relation to the show) on other series, movies, etc...

On Sabrina the Teenage Witch, there is one episode in the 1st Season where Hilda and Zelda become teenagers, Libby says something about meeting a band and taking someone...and she makes the comment "I didn't mean the Olsen Twins could come." Thats one I can think of @ the top of my head right now.

this is an actor reference rather than a character reference, just like RG's, but in the Gilmore Girls episode "To Live and Let Diorama" a kid named Andrew goes (talking about Old Man Twickum right before he dies), "He's kind of distracted anyway. The whole time I was there he was Tivo-ing through a fresh Summerland." and then later Lorelai says about the same guy (once he's dead): "And I just got my good-bye in. He was about to close shop for the day but we got in, told him good-bye and that we'd miss him, we left and then apparently he just closed his eyes. Muttered something about Lori Loughlin and that was that."

so yeah  :P lol

"I like escalators because an escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You'll never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience. We apologize that you can still get up there."

"I was in a casino, I was standing by the door, and a security guard came over and said 'You're gonna have to move. You're blocking the fire exit.' As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit. Unless you are a table."

This isn't from a tv episode. Rather, it's from a webpage called The Wonder Years: 25 Best Moments. This guy's pick for the #2 moment is the Kevin/Winnie kissing scene from the pilot. In his commentary, he makes a character reference to DJ.

Quote
This is the moment you see on retrospectives, where DJ Tanner reminisces about how it seemed to go on forever and Michael Ian Black stares at the screen and goes "WOND AR YEAR" until someone laughs.

There is also an actual appearance for Michelle and Jesse on another show.  I'm sure how well publicized it was, but I believe the show "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper" featured those two characters in an episode appearance.  It was one of those crossover promotions.

The Episode is called Hangin' With Michelle. The premise is that Mark Cooper substitute teaches Michelle's class.

Hang in' With Michelle

Also in the episode are Jesse, Denise, and Aaron.

What's funny about that is Step By Step also had Urkel show up, and yet FH is seen as a fictional show in the SPS world.  It'll drive people who care about time continuums crazy.

If this counts, I remember Jar Jar Binks frequently using How Rude! as an adapted catch frase from Steph.

The only reference to full house that I can rememeber of the top of my head was when Ashley Tisdale said in a magazine that she liked the show. (I think that counts but I'm not sure)

yep that counts!!

They mentioned Joey Gladstone as being a "classic funny-guy" in Bitch magazine (it's a very feminist mag )

I have another reference. On Season 1 Boy Meets World, there were 2 refs:
1. In a very early episode, Cory says "I don't even understand the emotion content of Full House."
2. When Morgan (Cory'slittle sis) is playing cards, her score was good enough for a "full house" Morgan than says "Full House I love those Olsen twins."
^ Those may not be good refs, but @ least they're talking about the show.

Those are great references, RG.  Kinda what this thread was looking for.  ;)  I also seem to recall an early episode of Home Improvement with the one son wanting to stay up to watch FH.
