I noticed the writers kind of introducing characters like they'd been a part of their lives for a while already (teachers, ex's, etc.), and yet we never see them again.  It's not like that's impossible, but it's a peculiar vibe.

yeah it is....like the first time we ever hear about Carrie Fowler is in the middle of season 4?  if Jesse had such a hot high school girlfriend that he was planning to get back together with when she finished a modeling job you'd think he'd have mentioned her or thought about her or something.....same with Eric Trent, Becky's literary professor, from No More Mr. Dumb guy....

I guess the writers just wanted to come up with some plot that was convenient, and then just dropped the idea afterwards to never be used from again.  That's definitely the way it went with Danny's mom, lol.
