OK, tell us what you prefer!

I think the nararator idea is good but lets have someone else give it a try.
"Some dont believe he ever existed, but that isnt true. He was here, and he was real. The real question is what was he, and why was he here. Many rumors speculate as to what he was. Some believe he was some kind of demon worm creature who would pose as a librarian. Others believed he was an angel sent to spread the word of god. The truth is, I dont know what he was. All I know is what he taught me. Love, friendship, and what it means to truly live. Some call him a monster, something children are terrified by. I only know him by what he called himself. Weird 4." - nicest comment ever!

I voted no because I think it's too restricting, I like it better when a plot can take twists and turns from time to time  :P

I voted Yes, but have someone else narrate. I think it would be a good idea to have a different narrator each session. So each roleplayer would get a chance to be narrator (unless they don't want to), and then it could repeat. Also, we could let members who are not releplayers be narrator for a session.

I'm not going to vote, as my opinion doesn't really fit into any of those.  I like the idea of a narrator, but I think it needs a tinkering.

I'd like to have the narrator state the desired plots, with the general information given, and let the members take it from there.  But if things get too off-track from the point they're trying to say, the narrator has to intervene a bit I guess.

And, as a compromise for those who don't like it, when you get the turn to be narrator, you have the option to make it spontaneous if you like.

that would be perfect for me too, actually....good call!

Just my opinion.

I don't know how to vote, because I think that we should each take turns narrating, so I guess "Yes, but find a new narrator"  If we each narrate, then we could all make any adjustments we think nessacary.  For example, if someone thought their character wasn't getiing enough lines, they could focus a rp around their character.

not until we decide who the Narrator will be  :P sorry!!  Who wants to give it a shot next?  obviously the winner of the poll is to have it alternate, so I guess it'll be 1st come 1st serve and we'll formulate a list....next person to reply saying they want to do it gets to narrate 52, then next person after them will do 53 etc. etc. etc.

I almost forgot to post in this... the reason I originally advocated it was because it would develop B-plots better and the roleplay would be more controlled. Then I realized; no one was making any B-plots, and a controlled roleplay is a boring roleplay. Come on people, you can't honestly say Session 51 was any fun at all by the time we got to Joey's party; additionally, it took three fucking weeks to finish. Hell no.

EDIT: Oh shit, it's too late. It'll be hard to live with the fact that the RP will be boring as all fuck from now on. ROLEPLAYING IS ABOUT HAVING FUN!!! NO ONE HAS ANY FUN UNLESS THEY ARE THE FUCKING NARRATOR, AND THAT IS RETARDED!!!

EDIT 2: I think many of you are just thinking about yourselves; "When is it going to be my turn to narrate?" You are (intentionally or not) failing to consider the one big thing about the narrator method is that while the narrator is having fun, the roleplay will be boring for everyone else. There's a way you can control all the FH characters and all the plots; it's called a fanfiction. A roleplay is about the group, and I believe that this is detrimental to the overall interests of the group. I guess I just find it hard to believe that my opinion is in the deepest hole it could be in. I hate to sound controlling, but I'm not sure if I can continue with my position as director if this continues to go forward.

I wasn't a big fan of the way it turned out either.  That's why I proposed what I did.  Do you agree with something along the lines of that suggestion, BL?  You can add people being allowed to make their own side stories if you want.

Yeah... I guess compromise is the thing. I want the roleplay to be mildly relevant at the least, but one person having essentially all the control over the roleplay is such a problem to me. As I said earlier, you can do that with a fanfiction; it defies any reason we would have a roleplay in the first place.

I mean no personal offense to leftturn, because he is a great roleplayer, but leftturn had to continually asked me to post as certain characters; it makes the roleplay a burden instead of fun, like it's supposed to be.
