I know I'm getting out of school early June next year, I guess teachers/staff or whoever don't want us to get out early anymore. lol

yeah this past year we got out for three days when a rash broke out in our school, and then we had two days when we were suppose to get freezing temperatures and it was suppose to ice the roads and houston isnt prepared for that so we got two days off then... but we got two holidays taken away... school wasnt extended... next year they are starting us late but we get out at the same time... we go back last week in august and get out last full week in may

For my school, if you get days off from school [bad weather wise] they just take it away from "Bad Weather Days" which consist of random days the school picks to have off. So we never have to make up for it 2 the end of the year.

they have bad weather days built into the school year and only if we exceed 3 unplanned days off do they take away holidays... for Hurricane Katrina last year we lost presidents day and went back a day early from christmas vacation

Yeah, it's too bad they have to take away from other things, or at the least makes you lose out on time you could spend on things you will have to do anyways.  When there is bad weather, I'd just as soon go then and not have to make up for it, although I guess some conditions call for it.

We don't have to make up bad weather days, either, but we don't get much.
I'm pretty sure I'll be crying on the last day of school.
