Best Episode Title
« on: August 07, 2007, 08:28:50 PM »
It's probably not something people think too much about, but there are quite a few episodes that have rather interesting and clever naming to them.  Often it can be a reference to something in pop culture, a play on words, and usually having a lot to do with the main story of the episode.

I'll probably look few some examples and come back with some of my favorites.  How about you?

I like some of the titles that are based on movies or songs, like D.J. Tanner's Day Off. Though, I really like Knock Yourself Out, because it refers to when The Sandman's manager guy or something punched Danny on the stomach (I love that scene). I'll go to TV.com for more episode titles.
I love these guys <3

ones that are plays on movies and songs are my favorites (which is actually most of them  :P lol) because they're the most creative titles

e.g. {off the top of my head }
Jesse's Girl (song - Rick Springfield)
Breaking Up is Hard to Do (in 22 minutes)/Making Out is Hard to do (song - Breaking Up is Hard to Do - The Carpenters)
13 Candles (movie - 16 Candles)
Misadventures in Babysitting (movie - Adventures in Babysitting)
Honey, I Broke the House (movie - Honey, I Shrunk the Kids)
Three Men and Another Baby (movie - Three Men and a Baby)
Secret Admirer (the name of one of Lori's old movies)
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (song - Cyndi Lauper)
The Graduates (the best movie EVER!! - The Graduate)
Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Girl Gone (nursery rhyme  :P)
The King and I (movie)

"I like escalators because an escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You'll never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience. We apologize that you can still get up there."

"I was in a casino, I was standing by the door, and a security guard came over and said 'You're gonna have to move. You're blocking the fire exit.' As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit. Unless you are a table."

Of the ones mentioned by people (good job by the way!), I'd have to say these ones are my favorites...

D.J. Tanner's Day Off
Honey, I Broke The House
Be True To Your Pre-School
Little Shop Of Sweaters
Subterranean Graduation Blues

There are definitely a few more that haven't been mentioned, but I'm a little lazy to post them all, lol.  You can find pretty all their meanings at TV.com.  But feel free to include some of your favorite titles that don't really have a specific connection to anything outside of the episode as well too.
